Nando’s to work with suppliers on chicken welfare

Nando’s plans to work with its suppliers to improve chicken welfare standards in its UK and Ireland supply chains. 

Nando’s announced its public commitment to improve the living conditions and welfare of chickens and said it would “simultaneously help fight climate change”.  

The restaurant chain said it will require suppliers of fresh, processed and frozen chicken in its supply chain to comply with EU animal welfare laws and adopt breeds that “demonstrate higher welfare outcomes” by 2026.
