UCL to ban crisp packets and petri dishes in crackdown on single-use plastic

October 30, 2019 FR EcoVadis FR

UCL today pledges to phase out the sale and use of single-use plastic products and packaging on its campus by 2024 ranging from plastic bottles, disposable cutlery, carrier bags to straws, pipette tips, sandwich wrappers and drinks.

The move will be allied to a pledge to divest from fossil fuels by the end of this year, reduce waste by a fifth per person by 2024 and ban meat from university-catered events and hospitality by 2030 with food 100 percent vegetarian.
