UNFCCC signatories call for government collaboration

Major fashion brand signatories of the United Nations’ Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action (UNFCCC) have endorsed a communique which invites governments the world over to collaborate with industry in fast-tracking efforts to meet the Paris Climate Agreement’s environmental targets. A recent UN report indicated that industry is not doing enough to this end, with climate scientists warning that the world is on course to warm by 3.2oC this century, signalling a widely cited “climate disaster”.
