How the UN’s SDGs bring Positive Change to Global Businesses

April 4, 2019

The Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the SDGs, follow the UN’s effort with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) with a contemporary and updated set of goals to ‘’transform’’ the world by 2030.

The UN’s SDGs encompass a total 17 goals and 169 targets seeking to tackle issues such as abolishing hunger and poverty, reducing inequalities and making cities more sustainable. EcoVadis practices cover 39% of those targets.

This paper highlights the importance of reporting and the role of SDGs. It also shows how EcoVadis understands the value of aligning its own goals with the SDGs and is able to integrate the agenda and targets into the CSR assessment process.
