Global CSR Risk and Performance Index 2019

October 30, 2019 EcoVadis ‏‏‎

This third edition of the Global CSR Risk and Performance Index illustrates the sustainability performance of over 30,000 companies worldwide evaluated by EcoVadis, based on their scorecards and ratings across three calendar years: 2016, 2017 and 2018.

The report covers:

  • Analysis of results by sustainability theme (Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Find out which theme was the highest-scoring one.
  • Performance by industry: We group the 190 ISIC business activity categories of companies we assess into nine “Industry Divisions” and compare by company size (small and medium-sized vs. large). Learn which is the top performing industry, and which sectors are lagging behind.
  • Comparison of scores across five regions: Europe, North America, Latin America, China, Africa/Middle East/Asia (excluding China). See which region is leading the way and which ones have yet to catch up.

The report also takes a closer look at one of the criteria in the Labor and Human Rights theme: Discrimination, harrassment and diversity. It’s now generally recognized that these issues can have a significant impact on a company’s reputation and, as a result, its bottom line, and we would expect companies to be rehashing their policies to make sure these areas are well addressed. See how companies around the world are tackling these issues.
