China is home to some 30% of the companies who are assessed by EcoVadis. A year ago last month (24 April 2014) China’s legislature adopted an amendment to the China Environmental Protection Law (which was originally enacted in 1989). This new law was put into effect on January 1, 2015, with some significant features such as compounding fees, increase in potential lawsuits, and incentives for public officials to enforce.
