The initiative is designed to strengthen industry resilience and mitigate supply chain risk through collaborative sustainable procurement practices

NEW YORK & PARIS — June 25, 2026EcoVadis, the global standard for resilient, sustainable supply chains, and the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (the Alliance) today announced a strategic partnership designed to accelerate and streamline sustainability practices across the hospitality sector.

This collaboration combines the Alliance’s extensive network – representing 66,000 hotels and 8 million rooms – with EcoVadis’s rigorous sustainability assessment expertise. By naming EcoVadis as its preferred sustainable procurement partner, the Alliance aims to provide its members with a vetted, scalable pathway to enhance supply chain transparency and drive decarbonization efforts.

Key strategic pillars of the partnership include:

  • Improved  supplier performance: leveraging the Alliance’s expansive global network to scale the EcoVadis supplier assessments, providing suppliers with an objective assessment and actionable improvement pathways and procurement teams with immediate visibility into supply chain risks.

  • Standardized decarbonization: using the EcoVadis Carbon Action Manager to eliminate data redundancy and provide assurance-ready Scope 3 insights that accelerate decarbonization in line with frameworks such as CSRD.

  • Unified ethical standards: creating a collaborative powerhouse for human rights and ethical recruitment, effectively aligning the Alliance's frameworks with EcoVadis’ Human Rights solutions to drive tangible progress in worker welfare.

"This partnership represents a significant step forward in our mission to drive responsible procurement in hospitality," said Annette Gevaert, SVP Alliances and Strategic Initiatives at EcoVadis. "By combining our assessment capabilities with the Alliance’s industry-leading reach, we are making it easier for hotel groups to access actionable intelligence and meet their sustainability commitments while suppliers benefit from streamlined requirements, reducing duplicated data requests."

Building a Resilient Hospitality Future

The collaboration is a direct response to the increasing fragmentation of sustainability action within the sector. By aligning the Alliance’s measurement standards (like HCMI/Vera-FY) with EcoVadis’s intelligence, the partnership provides a decisive, unified framework for hotel groups to manage enterprise risk and future-proof their supply chains.

"Sustainability is no longer a peripheral ambition; it is the bedrock of future-proofing our industry," said Glenn Mandziuk, President and CEO at the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. "By formalizing this strategic partnership with EcoVadis, we are moving beyond fragmented, siloed efforts toward a unified standard for procurement excellence. We are providing our global network of 66,000 hotels not just with guidance, but with a verified, scalable blueprint for mitigating risk and driving tangible, data-backed impact across their supply chains."

Strategic Alignment with HARP

This partnership serves as a strategic accelerator for the Hospitality Alliance for Responsible Procurement (HARP) initiative. Launched by EcoVadis in 2023 with leading global hospitality organizations, HARP remains an autonomous, antitrust-compliant network. The Alliance assumes no operational or governance role in HARP, but will utilize its convening power to endorse HARP’s proven methodologies, thereby creating a clear, unified standard for responsible procurement excellence across the industry.
