EcoVadis Renews ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 Certification for Quality and Information Security Management

October 22, 2019 EcoVadis

October 22, 2019 Paris, France,  EcoVadis, the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, announced today that it has successfully renewed its certification audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to management systems standards ISO 9001 : 2015 (quality) and ISO 27001: 2013 (information security).

The audit took place between May and July of 2019 at EcoVadis operations in Canada, France, and Poland. The certifications are valid and apply for the company globally including all its locations and business units around the world. CyberVadis, the EcoVadis subsidiary specialized in cyber security ratings, is now explicitly mentioned in the scope of the certification.

“Renewing this ISO 9001 certification is a confirmation that we maintain the quality of our processes while continuing our rapid international expansion,” said Frederic Trinel, Co-CEO of EcoVadis. “Our customers rely on our ratings to make purchasing decisions that reduce risk and drive innovation. The quality of our process is essential in ensuring the reliability of our ratings and offering comparability so that suppliers can be benchmarked across the wide variety of sectors and countries in the global supply chain.”

As during the last certifications, PwC conducted an integrated certification audit due to the similar structures of the management standards.

ISO 9001 helps organizations demonstrate to customers that they can offer products and services of consistent quality. ISO 27001 helps organizations manage the security of information assets, including financial and third-party information, and helps ensure that risk, governance, and compliance practices meet the most rigid standards.

“The ISO 27001 audit demonstrates our adherence to best practices for information security and data privacy management and confirms EcoVadis’ commitment to continuous improvement to protect all stakeholders’ data in the evolving landscape of information security threats,” continued Mr. Trinel.

For each of the standards, PwC performs a surveillance audit every year, and a re-certification audit every three years.

EcoVadis received ISO certificates number KVD6PWMQ2FFT-2017446796-32 and KVD6PWMQ2FFT-2017446796-33 which can be verified on the  PwC Certifications B.V. website by searching for “EcoVadis”.
