June 22, 2016 EcoVadis

David Cowell, Chief Procurement Officer at Coca-Cola Enterprises, took part in the EcoVadis SustaIn 2016 Conference as speaker in a panel discussion along with GSK CPO Jean-Yves Rotté-Geoffroy.
In this short interview recorded at the SustaIn conference, Mr. Cowell touches on key best practices for embedding sustainability into the business, such as setting targets internally and externally, and getting traction with suppliers in carbon reduction and other sustainability criteria. For 2016 CCE will see a focus on sustainability in sourcing, all the way down to the farm level.

“We can’t deny the fact that resources are limited and that as a company we want to grow our business.” says Mr. Cowell “In 2016 we had huge traction with suppliers working in collaboration on carbon reduction and sustainability criteria. We are also increasing our focus on Sustainable sourcing at farming level, particularly with sugar suppliers.”
