Pierre-Francois Thaler, EcoVadis co-founder, has been appointed Strategic Advisory Committee of the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council.

Based in the US, The Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC) is a non-profit organization that brings together leaders from institutions, suppliers, government, standards bodies and NGOs to simplify, optimize and standardize the practice of sustainable procurement.

EcoVadis has officially joined the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council on December 2013.

The Council’s mission is to support and recognize purchasing leadership that accelerates the transition to a prosperous and sustainable future. The Council’s programs and community of practice will help institutional purchasers to:

  • prioritize opportunities to influence the social, environmental and economic life cycle impacts of purchased goods and services,
  • identify existing leadership standards and approaches that address these priorities,
  • benchmark progress toward goals, and
  • receive recognition for advancement.

This membership is consolidating EcoVadis’ global recognition as top player in the Sustainable Procurement field, as well as strengthening our position within the North American market, where a growing number of companies (including Fortune 500’s) are selecting the EcoVadis solution.
