EcoVadis, the leading collaborative platform for suppliers Sustainability rating, has been awarded as one of this year’s recipients of the coveted Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine 2010 Green Supply Chain Awards. EcoVadis has been identified as a provider of supply chain solutions and services that are assisting global corporations in achieving measurable sustainability goals.
„Our readers are corporate executives and line-of-business leaders who want to know about the supply chain solution and service providers that are enabling supply chain sustainability”, said Andrew K. Reese, editor, Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

„We are honored that EcoVadis, the European leader for suppliers Sustainability ratings, was recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, for the innovation of our solutions. This confirms the validity of our platform which is currently used by Global 500 companies to assess and improve the Sustainability performance of suppliers across 90 countries.“ commented Pierre-Francois Thaler, co-President and co-founder of EcoVadis.

The awards also recognize companies that are making sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategies, among them Cisco, DHL or Timberland. Supply & Demand Chain Executive says market forces that include public pressure, government regulations and corporate social responsibility initiatives are driving organizations to view “green” and “sustainability” as necessary components of their supply chain strategies.

Supply & Demand Chain Executive collected submissions for the 2010 Green Supply Chain Awards through an online nominations process. The magazine reviewed the submissions based on the clarity and content of the goals and strategy, the extent of the steps being taken, and the impact of the results to date and projected results.
The complete listing of the 2010 Green Supply Chain Awards recipients will be featured in the November/December 2010 issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine.
