EcoVadis stands up for Human Rights Day

December 9, 2016 Yovana U. Samy-Duchesne

Human Rights Day, observed on 10 December each year, is an opportunity for all countries and interested organizations to stand up for human rights. Basic human rights continue to be threatened in many ways across the world. EcoVadis stands up for the human rights of workers in supply chains across the world.

EcoVadis stands alongside our customers and partners to support human rights, by encouraging responsible business behavior and working to improve conditions for people employed both within direct operations, and in the supply chain. As part of CSR assessments, EcoVadis evaluates policies, actions and reporting implemented by subsidiaries or suppliers to enforce compliance with CSR standards such as ISO certifications, as well as internationally recognized labor, human rights and anti-corruption frameworks, including the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the UN Global Compact and ISO 26000.
