Understanding our business is essential to appreciating how each role contributes to the bigger picture. EcoVadis operates on two interconnected fronts:

The Requesting Side: Companies use our platform to engage their supply chain through sustainable procurement programs.

The Rated Side: Companies undergo sustainability assessments and achieve a rating, equipping them to showcase their sustainable practices.
While some companies participate in both, others leverage just one side. Together, these efforts create a ripple effect, reaching thousands of businesses and millions of stakeholders worldwide.
A Global Team with Local Impact
Our employees are the backbone of EcoVadis. With team members representing 38 nationalities, we bring a diverse set of voices, skills, and cultural insights to the table.
Take our North Europe region Frontline team, for instance. Our sales and business development specialists emphasize the power of connecting with prospects in their native languages. This approach has proven invaluable in opening new markets and fostering trust. For example, conducting outreach in Finnish or Lithuanian has led to successful engagements with companies in Northern Europe, highlighting the impact of cultural and linguistic fluency in driving sustainability conversations.
Turning Skepticism into Passion
For many of our employees, working at EcoVadis has been a transformative experience.
Daniel Walters, an Account Executive, initially thought engaging senior executives about sustainability would be a challenging uphill battle. “I didn’t think C-level leaders or board members would be passionate about sustainability,” he admitted. However, his experience proved him wrong. He has seen firsthand how executives are not only receptive but deeply committed to sustainability programs that create tangible impact.
Other Account Executives shared how inspiring it is to introduce companies to our platform during demos. “Getting clients excited about their sustainability journey is incredibly rewarding,” they said. Signing enterprise clients with extensive supply chains amplifies that impact, enabling thousands of suppliers to improve their practices through EcoVadis.

Driving Change at Scale
On the Requesting side, our teams play a vital role in ensuring sustainable procurement programs succeed beyond initial implementation. Account Managers partner closely with clients to embed long-term adoption and create meaningful transformation.
Loreto Rocco Silva, an Account Manager, shared how she worked with a client to build a learning plan that empowered their team to support suppliers in decarbonization efforts. In another case, a Chief Procurement Officer encouraged employees to take EcoVadis Academy courses to deepen their knowledge of key sustainability topics.
Expanding sustainability programs is another avenue for impact. One recent success story saw an Account Manager help a client bring 700 additional suppliers into their sustainable procurement initiative. These stories illustrate how our team drives meaningful outcomes by helping clients scale their efforts.
Impact on the Rated Side
On the Rated side, our account executives guide businesses through the assessment process, seeing the impact on a massive scale. Over 150,000 companies were assessed last year alone.
Ingmar Aafjes, an Account Executive, highlighted the satisfaction of helping businesses choose the right subscription and watching them use their EcoVadis medal to showcase their achievements. “Seeing how companies market their sustainability successes feels like a real impact,” he said.
Beyond the Job: Impact in the Community
At EcoVadis, making an impact extends beyond our professional roles. Employees cherish opportunities like Community Service Days, a benefit that allows them to contribute to meaningful causes.
One Account Executive, Martyna Wojciechowska, shared her recent experience: “I spent my service day preparing meals for the homeless, painting an almshouse, and planting trees in the park with the community. It was deeply fulfilling to give back in such a tangible way.” She also adds that soon she will be speaking at her former University as part of the Sustainability Ambassadors campaign organised by EcoVadis. Where employees are involved in providing lectures and workshops for external participants as a way of giving back to the community.
