While companies around the globe are taking steps to address the climate crisis, there’s growing awareness that our planet is in the throes of another equally destructive emergency: loss of natural capital, in the form of biodiversity and entire ecosystems. This accelerating crisis is already having significant implications for global value chains, which depend heavily on the ecosystem services nature provides.
This whitepaper explores how a growing number of companies in the EcoVadis network are taking action to reverse this trend. Nearly 140 companies in the agriculture and construction industries were surveyed on how their operations impact biodiversity, the steps they are taking to mitigate these effects and the support needed from partners to scale their efforts.
