A Look into the EcoVadis’ 2024 Philanthropy Program: Driving Impact, Together

February 7, 2025 EcoVadis EN

As a purpose-driven company, we place great importance in sharing our company success with our local communities, partnering with organizations which share common goals and values. In 2024, our Philanthropy Program once again demonstrated how collective efforts can drive positive impact for both the planet and society.

Through our ongoing collaboration with One Tree Planted, the "1 Scorecard Published, 1 Tree Planted" initiative continued to flourish. Our efforts were channeled into three impactful projects in Uganda, India, and Mexico. Projects were selected to support the most vulnerable countries affected by climate change according to the IPCC report.  By donating €75,000, we contributed to farmland conversion, reforestation, and the restoration of natural habitats, making a tangible difference where it matters most.

Additionally, through the support of our customers, we donated €9,200 for good causes. After completing the Annual Satisfaction Survey, our customers had an opportunity to select impactful projects through the Dift by CaptainCause platform.

Guided by our purpose, we aim to empower the future generation of sustainability practitioners. Putting this into action, this year also marked the launch of an exciting new initiative. In 2024, EcoVadians delivered 29 lectures in educational organizations. Through these sessions, we aimed at, not only delivering practical knowledge on sustainability and sustainable procurement, but also inspire future careers in sustainability!

On the community front, our commitment to supporting local NGOs continued with the Local Donation Program. EcoVadians voted to make EcoVadis support local organizations in their country. The €100,000 yearly fund will support 12 non-profits operating in the field of Climate Change, Education on Sustainability and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for 2 years. We hope that a deeper and more sustained collaboration will allow us to foster stronger connections with the NGOs and create lasting impact. It also opens the door for more opportunities to engage in meaningful volunteering activities for our employees.

With the intensification of climate change, we observe an acceleration of extreme weather events affecting populations in the country where we operate or where our employees come from. The Emergency Fund was there to support relief efforts in crisis-affected regions. Whether it was a natural disaster or another unforeseen crisis, we stepped up. Globally, we donated €60,000. Additionally, EcoVadians joined these efforts contributing through Bonusly, our employee recognition platform. Together, we were able to extend a helping hand to those who needed it most.

And of course, our Change Makers Community was as active as ever! From volunteering missions (800+) to local initiatives, more than 600 EcoVadians showed their incredible passion and commitment to making a difference. This was made possible thanks to our network of dedicated ambassadors, who rallied their teams to engage locally and create real impact.

To every EcoVadian who contributed their time, energy, and passion this year - thank you!

As we look ahead to the future, we’re excited to build on these successes and tackle new challenges. Celebrate with us by watching the video.
