Building on employees’ high involvement in 2021 with local communities, EcoVadis launched the Changes Makers Community in 2022 to facilitate EcoVadians’ engagement in philanthropic activities.
The community is powered by the platform Vendredi, which offers EcoVadians a wide range of solidarity activities, from 1 hour online challenges to 1 day volunteering opportunities, aiming to raise awareness and to take concrete action in their communities. To enable all employees to effectively take action, each EcoVadian is granted one volunteer day per year.
Driven locally by ambassador employees across the globe, the Change Makers Community continuously grows, and local initiatives are on the rise thanks to their support in inspiring others to get involved and to support nonprofit organizations.
However, we are aware that conciliating work and volunteering can be challenging. The first reason is the lack of time, despite employees expressing their strong interest.
Therefore, our focus for 2023 is to give employees better opportunities, to work with Vendredi to improve and diversify our international offer for employees working both remotely and on-site, that take into account their personal preferences, their work schedule, and the social and cultural celebrations specific to each region where EcoVadis operates.
We are extremely proud of and impressed by EcoVadians’ commitment to engage with their community and to support nonprofit organizations at their scale. We are looking forward to the upcoming initiatives under preparation by our committed Change Makers Community.
